To get a useful answer on the first reply, tell us your device (say, iPhone 15 Pro), your OS version, and what you did just before the problem. The current release is 3.3.0; the app store listing shows which one you have.
Replays and recording
Can I watch a run again?
Yes. Every run is recorded, so REPLAY on the results screen plays it back, and you can change the speed while it runs. The replay is re-simulated from the recording rather than being a video, so it matches the run you played tick for tick.
How do I save or share a run?
Use your device's own screen recorder. On iPhone, add Screen Recording to Control Centre and start it before you play. On a Mac, QuickTime Player's New Screen Recording or ⇧⌘5 both work.
It pairs well with REPLAY: play the run without worrying about recording, then replay it with the recorder running, for as many takes as you like. VOIDGLOW used to render clips itself; that was removed because the OS does it better — and it is why the app now asks for no permissions at all.
Your progress
Where is my progress saved?
On your device only, in the app's own storage. It holds your settings, your best run, your essence and permanent upgrades, your achievements, your recent daily results and your chosen light. There is no account and no cloud copy, so deleting the app deletes your progress and reinstalling starts you fresh.
Is the daily leaderboard global?
No. Every player gets the same daily seed, so the run is genuinely comparable — but the board VOIDGLOW shows you is your own history on this device. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is compared against other players.
Playing
How long is a run?
Eight minutes. Surviving all of it is the win.
How do I move?
Touch and hold anywhere in the lower part of the screen and drag. The stick appears wherever your thumb lands, so you never have to look down for it. On Mac, use WASD or the arrow keys, or a connected gamepad.
Can I change the language?
Yes — Settings → LANGUAGE offers System, English and 中文. System follows your device.
It runs hot, or the motion bothers me
Settings has QUALITY for the effect load, and both SCREEN SHAKE and REDUCE MOTION if the camera movement is uncomfortable. Master, SFX and music volumes are independent.
