Eight minutes, then it is over
A run is exactly eight minutes long and surviving all of it is the win. Long enough to build something, short enough that losing costs you nothing but the next attempt.
A point of light in a measured void.
Eight minutes. One light against everything the dark sends at it. No account, no ads, and nothing to connect to — VOIDGLOW runs entirely on your device.
v3.3.0
A run is exactly eight minutes long and surviving all of it is the win. Long enough to build something, short enough that losing costs you nothing but the next attempt.
Pulse clears what is close, Orbit holds a ring around you, Lance reaches across the arena. Six passives push max health, speed, damage, area, cooldown and pickup range — and every level-up asks you to give one up to take another.
Runs earn essence, and essence buys permanent upgrades that carry into the next one. Ten achievements mark the milestones worth chasing, and finishing them all is its own.
The daily challenge hands every player the same arena and the same spawns, so a better result is a better decision rather than better luck. Your recent days are kept so you can see yourself improve.
Every run is recorded, so you can replay it from the results screen and watch how it actually went — at your own speed. Worth keeping? Your phone or Mac already records the screen, so a replay is as shareable as you want it to be.
No sign-in, no network, no telemetry, no ads, no in-app purchases. It plays the same on a plane as on your sofa, in English or 中文, and your progress stays on your device.
