VOIDGLOW Privacy Policy

中文版本

VOIDGLOW does not collect any personal data. It has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs and no in-app purchases. It makes no network connections at all — the game is fully playable in airplane mode, and there is no server for it to talk to.

What the app stores, and where

VOIDGLOW saves your game progress on your own device so it is still there next time you play. That file contains only game state:

  • your settings — language, volumes, screen shake, reduced motion, quality, stick style;
  • your best run — time survived, level, kills and peak damage;
  • your essence total and the permanent upgrades you have bought;
  • which achievements you have unlocked;
  • your own results for the recent daily challenges;
  • the light you have chosen.

It contains no name, no email address, no device identifier, no advertising identifier and no location. On iOS and macOS it is an ordinary file in the app's private application-support directory; in the browser version it is a single localStorage entry for the site.

Because this data never leaves your device, deleting VOIDGLOW deletes it permanently. We hold no copy and cannot restore it.

Permissions

VOIDGLOW asks for no system permissions. Not photos, not the microphone, not the camera, not contacts, not location, not notifications. You will never see a permission prompt, because there is nothing it needs one for.

An earlier version asked for add-only photo access, to save clips it rendered of your runs. That feature was removed — your device's own screen recorder does it better — and the permission went with it. If you want to keep a run, record your screen; that video is yours and has nothing to do with us.

What we receive

Nothing automatically. The only information we ever see is what you choose to send us — if you email support@bitrocks.com for support, we have your message and your email address, and we use them to answer you and nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not pass your message on.

The browser version

When you play in a browser, the game files are served from this site by Cloudflare. As with any website, those requests produce ordinary server logs — IP address, time, which file was asked for — which exist to run and protect the site and are not used to profile how you play. The page itself carries no analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers.

Apple and the app stores

VOIDGLOW is distributed through app stores, so the download and any in-store interaction is handled by that store under its own policy — for example Apple's privacy policy — and not this one. A store may show us aggregate, anonymous statistics: download counts, crash reports, territory totals. We cannot identify an individual player from any of it.

Children

VOIDGLOW is suitable for a general audience and collects no data from anyone, of any age. Because there is nothing to collect, there is no separate practice for children.

Changes to this policy

If VOIDGLOW ever changes in a way that affects this document, we will update this page and change the date at the top before shipping that version. The policy that applies to you is the one published here.
